ITR Portal To Be Not Accessible Today And Tomorrow: Check Details
After the new income tax portal has been worked on for removing glitches, the portal shall be not available intermittently between today and tomorrow. There is a ticker flashing on the portal saying ""Alert: Website will not be accessible due to scheduled maintenance activity from Saturday 23rd Oct 10.00PM to Sunday 24th Oct 10.00AM IST".
So, various of the functionalities during this time shall not be accessible such as ITR filing, registration of self as legal heir., registering digital signature for ITR verification,
check information regarding or download your Form 26AS etc.
The downtime is common for various other banking entities and even the RBI for that matter. Until now a host of glitches have been reported for the new portal including complained about incomplete/wrong data related to previous year ITR filing, the portal being slow, non-availability of various income tax related forms for compliances etc. Many took to social media to complain about the issues they were facing.
So, amid glitches the tax filing deadline for FY21 remains extended to December 31, 2021.
This due date is applicable for individuals whose accounts are not required to be audited.
