Congress overlooked development in Arki : Anurag Thakur

Solan, Oct 22 (UNI) Lashing out at the Opposition Congress for 'overlooking' the developmental activities in Arki constituency, Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur on Friday said that it was only BJP government that carried out all-round development of the state.
Addressing the public meetings at Jayanagar, Dhundan and Karadaghat in Arki assembly segment, Anurag Thakur said that Ratanpal has made a significant contribution towards the development of Arki as compared to former chief minister Virbhadra Singh who even did not bother to visit the constituency after winning the election. Singh never even raised a single issue of Arki in the Vidhan Sabha. Late Virbhadra was a six-time Chief Minister, he could have developed but did nothing.
He said Ratanpal continued to visit across the constituency and kept on placing Arki's demands before the government. As a result of which good development has taken place in Arki and this development will be done in the coming one year also.
The Union Minister said, “We all know that the last one year has been full of challenges before the world. Developed countries struggled with the economy during the Corona period, but under the strong leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India went ahead facing all those challenges and the challenging task of making two indigenous vaccines was completed by our scientists”.
India has created history by doing 100 crore vaccinations, the credit for this goes to the central government of the BJP and the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The central government had kept a budget of Rs 35000 crore only for vaccination and not a single rupee was taken from any person for vaccination and Rs 15000 crores was given to the states to strengthen their health facilities during the Corona period, he added.
He said that if a person came out from his house during the Corona period, he was a worker of the BJP who fulfilled the religion of humanity by helping the poor day and night. "Our government did the work of providing free ration to 80 crore poor. Ayushman Bharat, which is the world's largest health scheme, has made it easier for people to get health facilities and health benefits."

The work of distributing LPG cylinders to poor women was done by the state government through the Grahani Yojana. The work of providing electricity from door to door was done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, 11 crore toilets were provided to the poor and 3 crore houses were built and their keys were handed over to the poor and every household through tap through Jal Jeevan Mission.
He said that the strong leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has won the hearts of common man through many welfare schemes.
Anurag Thakur said, "We know that the demand of ex-servicemen which was raised before the Center for a long time, the work of fulfilling "One Rank One Pension" was done by the Modi government. Today, before taking a wrong look towards India, enemy countries see that India is in the safe hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Pakistan did Uri attack but within 24 hours we entered Pakistan by surgical strike and this Narendra Modi government also did the work of giving a befitting reply to them."
Attacking the Congress, Anurag Thakur said that the Congress does not consider the Kargil war as a big war. “I want to tell them that this state has been the land of heroes. In this war, two Param Vir Chakras have been received by the heroes of the state. Bharatiya Janata Party has made a soldier its candidate from Mandi parliamentary constituency. Even the Congress is suffering a lot. BJP has always respected its soldiers”.
He said that whose living proof is Rafale, which Congress governments could not buy for a long time, the work of buying Rafale was started as soon as the Modi government came to power. The Modi government has also done the work of getting modern machines, tanks and bullet proof jackets to its army.
