Deceased security guard Arun Tiwari — who hailed from Prayagraj in UP — was working in the building for four-five years. His relatives said Tiwari, who was unmarried, is survived by his mother and brother.

The cause of the blaze, tentatively believed to be due to a short-circuit, is being probed and the building reportedly has all fire-safety measures in place, said the residents.

A 30-year-old man jumped to death from 19th floor of Avighna Park building on Friday afternoon.
Currey Road high-rise fire: The flames have been doused on the 19th floor. The fire brigade officials said that the risk of the blaze spreading to other floors is now low.
