Lucknow, Oct 22(UNI) Congress will bring out three "Pratigya" yatras in Uttar Pradesh from Saturday which will be flagged off by party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra from Barabanki.
Former MP and in charge of the UP campaign committee P L Punia along with other party leaders on Friday said that that the party General Secretary and in-charge of Uttar Pradesh, Ms Priyanka Gandhi Vadra would flag off all the three yatras from Barabanki on Saturday.
Mr Punia said Mrs Vadra will also address a public meeting in Barabanki and will give details about the seven resolutions of the party for the coming assembly polls.
Mr Punia said that the first route of the Pratigya Yatra (Varanasi Awadh) will start from Varanasi and end in Rae Bareli, and will cover Chandauli, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Prayagraj, Pratapgarh, Amethi districts and this route will be led by former MP Pramod Tiwari along with former MP Rajesh Mishra and former MLA Nadeem Javed.
The second route of Pratigya Yatra (Barabanki Bundelkhand) - will start from Barabanki and end at Jhansi, and will cover Lucknow, Unnao, Fatehpur, Chitrakoot, Banda, Hamirpur, Jalaun districts.
This route will be led by former MP PL Punia, while other leaders who would be part of the yatra are former Union Minister Pradeep Jain Aditya and Chairman of Media Department and former state Minister Nasimuddin Siddiqui.
Third Route (West) of Pratigya Yatra - will start from Saharanpur and will end at Mathura, which will include Muzaffarnagar, Bijnore, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Badaun, Aligarh, Hathras and Agra districts. This yatra will be led by former Union Minister Salman Khurshid and Congress MP candidate from Lucknow Acharya Shri Pramod Krishnam .
Former Minister Naseemuddin Siddiqui informed that the Congress in its first resolution has promised 40 percent share in ticket distribution to women in the 2022 assembly elections and has pledged to give smartphones to Inter pass girl students and electronic scooty to girls who have graduated.
The remaining six pledges will be disclosed by Ms Vadra on Saturday, while launching the Pratigya Yatra in Barabanki.
