Spotted: Carrie Bradshaw played by Sarah Jessica Parker taking New York in a Falguni Shane Peacock lehenga 

A new unreleased glimpse of Sarah Jessica Parker as her iconic on-screen character Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City reboot And Just Like That…, was captured filming in Manhattan, New York, climbing down the steps of a townhouse bedecked in a Falguni Shane Peacock lehenga. Leaked pictures of SJP’s Falguni Shane Peacock couture outfit took the internet by storm in a matter of hours. The latest scene in the reboot series, set to be released in December this year, is building anticipation for the fans, who are wondering what Carrie’s newest wardrobe addition can mean. 

 A combination of maroon and cobalt blue, the Falguni Shane Peacock lehenga features hand-embroidered Resham-work in chequered patterns on the full-sleeved blouse and motifs inspired by Udaipur’s grand palaces on the skirt. The outfit, sans dupatta, is paired with lilac platform sandals from Aquazurra, and a velvet potli. Adding that extra bit of Carrie Bradshaw’s statement style is a giant purple and pink floral maangtika, woven into a waist-length braid. For her jewellery, Parker wears a pendant by jewellery designer Alp Sagnak, which she is seen sporting with her other outfits as well. 

Bradshaw, the ultimate '90s writer and fashionista, played by Sarah Jessica Parker is an icon whose fashion choices have dictated trends for decades. Styled by Molly Rogers and co-costume designer of the Sex and The City moves, Danny Santiago, leaked outfits are creating a buzz (albeit, polarising) on the internet and amongst fans. Earlier this month, Parker was seen sporting a pink gingham midi dress by label Batsheva worn under a navy jacket, paired with matching latex gloves and a headscarf. Another notable outfit worn by her on set was a Robin’s egg blue bodycon Norma Kamali dress, paired with a cream blazer and metallic Aquazurra heels. It was a spinoff from her iconic black bodycon staple from the early seasons of Sex and the City. As the debut date approaches, we are watching Carrie’s new wardrobe for clues on the Fall season, and now, apparently weddings, too.
