Nagpur:
Vidarbha has administered 1,70,07,424 Covid-19
vaccine doses till October 21 when India reached the a milestone of 100 crore doses. This means, near 1.7% of total doses in country were delivered in Vidarbha.
Number-wise, Nagpur heads the region with 42.60 lakh doses, followed by Chandrapur (17.20 lakh) and Amravati (17.11 lakh). Yavatmal, Buldhana, Gondia, Bhandara and Wardha have inoculated more than 10 lakh people. Only Washim and Gadchiroli have administered less than 10 lakh doses.
On Thursday, 12 new cases were reported in the region from 8,609 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours while 19 patients recovered. No death was reported on Thursday. Now, Vidarbha has only 112 active cases.
The overall test positivity is less than 0.15%. Barring Nagpur, no district has more than 20 active cases.
Akola: Of the 350 tests conducted in 24 hours, none came positive. After five recoveries in a day, Akola has 13 patients under treatment.
Washim: No new case was reported while one patient recovered. Now, nine patients are under treatment.
Buldhana: The district conducted 418 tests and detected two new patients. A patient recovered on Thursday, leaving 14 under treatment.
Gondia: All 129 tests conducted in 24 hours came negative. Now, only one patient is under treatment.
Bhandara: Two new patients were detected after almost 10 days. Total 263 tests were conducted.
Gadchiroli: One new patient was detected. Now, there are eight active cases.
Wardha: All 386 test reports were negative. Two patients remain under treatment.
Yavatmal: There are six patients under treatment. Of the 660 test reports received in district, only one was found positive for Covid-19.
Amravati: All the 225 samples tested were negative and there wasn't a single death in the district on Thursday. One recovery brought down the number of active cases to five.
Chandrapur: There were 19 patients left under treatment following two new cases and one recovery on Thursday. No casualty was reported during the day. The caseload has grown to 88,793, which includes 87,232 recoveries and 1,542 deaths.
