New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has hit out at the Centre over rising prices of petrol and diesel and said the government is playing a ‘cruel joke’ on the public.
‘GOI is playing a cruel joke on our public,’ Rahul tweeted and used the hashtag ‘TaxExtortion’. He also shared a social media post which said that a new word – Fillionaire (One who cannot afford a full tank in India) – has been coined, courtesy ‘Modi government’s fuel loot’ on the public.
Meanwhile, as India, on Thursday, in a historic move, raced past other nations to go on to register a billion Covid vaccine doses, the BJP took a dig at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s ‘July came but vaccine did not’ jibe.
The BJP via a tweet hit out at Rahul for questioning the capability of the PM Narendra Modi-led govt’s efforts to vaccinate people.
