AMRITSAR: The 487th parkash purb (birth anniversary) of fourth master of Sikh community and founder of Amritsar Guru Ramdas was celebrated with religious zeal and devotion by various Sikh bodies, including Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) in the city.
On this occasion, the 'bhog' (culmination) of Sri Akhand Path Sahib was performed at Gurdwara Manji Sahib following which raagis, dhaddis (balladeers) and kavishar (peot) groups recited Gurbani.
Jalau (historical articles) were put on display in the sanctum of the Golden Temple.
The prayers and recitals of the hymns from Gurbani were witnessed at Khalsa College Gurdwara which was tastefully decorated with buntings.
