Mumbai: Bollywood actor Ananya Panday, who was summoned by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Thursday and Friday in connection with the voyage in Mumbai, denies the allegations of the supply and consumption of drugs.
According to NCB sources, Ananya denies the allegation that she supplied drugs to Aryan Khan, an accused in the case, and said she has never used the drugs.
“The conversations recovered from Aryan Khan’s cell phone reveal that she helped three times to supply drugs to Aria in the year 2018-19 by supplying him with the number of drug dealers,” sources from the NCB told ANI.
“Ananya denies the conversations related to the offer in the chat conversation and told NCB officials that she has never used or supplied the drugs,” they added.
Ananya Panday was summoned today by the NCB in connection with the case in Mumbai, as well as the suspicion of drug use. The subpoena was issued based on the conversations found from Aryan Khan’s cell phone.
Earlier Thursday, an NCB team was spotted at Ananya Panday’s home, after which the actor was summoned by his investigative agency to his office. Later, Ananya Panday, along with her father, Chunky Panday, reached the NCB office.
Meanwhile, another drug dealer was arrested by the NCB on Friday morning in connection with the cruise attack.
According to the sources, the investigative agency has conducted six raids or searches in Mumbai and nearby areas in the past two days.
An NCB team has pinned down an alleged drug party on the Cordelia vessel that was en route to Goa on October 2.
A total of 20 people, including Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan, have been arrested in the case so far.
