Premier League transfer news: Man City handed Haaland boost, Newcastle chase Diaz, Everton plot January move for Man United’s Lingard as Chelsea eye Hazard reunion

The Premier League season may only be in October but that doesn’t mean that clubs aren’t planning their transfer dealings for the window ahead.

It’s just over two months until the January market opens for business and with teams reflecting on how they’ve started the campaign, it appears that a number of incomings and outgoings are already in the pipeline.

Players will also be taking stock of their situations at present with a lack of gametime or an upturn in form perhaps leading them to contact their agents ahead of a potential move.

What are the latest rumours and headlines? talkSPORT.com takes a look…

Erling Haaland

Manchester City could be handed a boost in their pursuit of the striker with reports suggesting that Real Madrid are set to miss out.

Spanish publication AS claim that City, Paris Saint-Germain or Bayern Munich are the most likely destinations for the 21-year-old.

However ESPN have added that Manchester United and Chelsea are also keen and could offer £30million a year to tie up a deal.

Haaland is regarded as one of the most talented young players in world football after netting a staggering 70 goals in 69 appearances for current club Borussia Dortmund.

There’s an acceptance that the German side will allow him to leave at the end of the season as he looks to continue his journey to be one of the world’s best.

Luis Diaz

Newcastle United are considering a move for the Porto star.

Reports from Marca believe that the 24-year-old is a target for the Magpies as they look to start their exciting new era under the ownership of Amanda Staveley and PIF.

The Colombia international is thought to be in high demand and with a release clause reportedly set at £67.4million it means that the Portuguese side could be powerless to approaches.

Given Newcastle’s newfound wealth, it’s a deal that they could look to do.

Jesse Lingard

Everton are considering a move for the attacking midfielder in January, according to Football Insider.

The Manchester United man is in the first team fold under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but has found regular first team opportunities hard to come by due to the wealth of attacking talent at Old Trafford.

Lingard enjoyed a wonderful time out on loan with West Ham United last term and the temptation to head out on loan again is bound to be strong with the 28-year-old having one eye on next year’s World Cup in Qatar.

Should the midfielder be allowed to move on then there’s no doubt that a number of top flight clubs will be trying their luck to bring the talented star in to the club.

Eden Hazard

Chelsea could make a move to re-sign Eden Hazard next summer, according to reports from El Nacional.

The Belgian international completed a big-money move to Real Madrid in 2019 after establishing himself as one of the world’s best players during his time at Stamford Bridge.

Unfortunately things haven’t gone to plan for the player after scoring just five goals in 51 appearances for the club.

Hazard is a hugely popular player in West London and if the opportunity arose to bring the player back then it’s certainly something that the Blues would consider.

Ousmane Dembele

Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele is reportedly open to joining Newcastle next summer.

The 24-year-old France international joined Barca in a £117million deal in 2017 but has failed to make a real impact in Spain.

His contract will expire next June and Goal are reporting that he is interested in moving to Newcastle on a free.

It is said that Dembele is weighing up his options with regards to his future and the Toon are ‘among the top candidates for his signature’.

Reports in Spain have claimed recently that Dembele’s camp has already held talks with Newcastle and a potential £250,000-a-week, five-year deal could be on the table.

Karim Adeyemi

Liverpool will have to pay up to £40m if they’re to complete a deal for Karim Adeyemi.

Reports in Germany believe that Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are also keen on the Red Bull Salzburg talent.

The 19-year-old is regarded as one of the most exciting young players in world football and has proven his quality in both domestic and European competition this term.

Adeyemi has scored eight times in 10 Austrian Bundesliga appearances, while also scoring two in two in the Champions League.

The England full-back has opened the door to a potential Premier League return.

According to The Mirror, the 31-year-old is open to returning to England as his future continues to be discussed.

The Atletico Madrid star was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United over the summer but a move didn’t transpire.

Tierney has been a regular under Diego Simeone this term and started the contest with Liverpool on Tuesday night and could still return to English football where he last featured for Tottenham before moving to Spain.

Anwar El Ghazi

The Aston Villa star is attracting interest from Italian giants Roma, according to Football Insider.

Anwar El Ghazi has found first team opportunities hard to come by under Dean Smith this term but has still managed three goals in five appearances in all competitions.

However it seems that Jose Mourinho is looking towards a potential move to take him to the Italian side.

Reports claim that Villa would be open to a move but would have to pay around £18million to get the deal over the line.

Mohamed Salah

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah will reportingly demand £400,000-a-week to sign a contract extension at Anfield.

The 29-year-old Egypt forward has 20 months left on his existing deal.

He has been in talks over an extension for some time but no agreement has been reached given hope to the likes of Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

The Telegraph report that Salah is willing to sign fresh terms but only if he can double his current wage and become the Premier League’s top earner.

Meanwhile, The Mirror report that Ramy Abbas, Salah’s agent, has flown to England for talks with the Liverpool hierarchy this week.

Raheem Sterling

Manchester City are reportedly willing to sell Raheem Sterling if a bid in excess of £65million is tabled.

Marca report that the 26-year-old England forward is on Barcelona’s radar but it would take a hefty offer to convince City into letting him leave.

Sterling, who has struggled for consistent game-time under Pep Guardiola recently, has said he would consider leaving the Etihad and moving abroad.

He said: “If there was the opportunity to go somewhere else [to play more regularly], I would be open to it at this moment in time.

“As I said, football is the most important thing to me – challenges that I have set myself from a young age and dreams as well, to play abroad.

“As an English player all I know is the Premier League and I have always had something down [in me] that maybe one day I would love to play abroad to see how I would come up against that challenge”

Jules Kounde

Chelsea are reportedly ready to make a new £50million offer for Sevilla star Jules Kounde.

The European champions are still looking for a new defender following Kurt Zouma’s move to London rivals West Ham over the summer.

They tried and failed to land Kounde last summer but Sport Italia claim the Blues will return with a new offer in January.

Meanwhile, The Sun claim Burnley are hoping to sign Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley in January.

The 27-year-old is a fringe player at Stamford Bridge and could be on the move this winter.
