AHMEDABAD: Gujarat chief minister Bhupendra Patel has given in-principle approval to the proposal of the corporation of Rs 59.25 crore for the construction of flyover in Gandhidham. The amount of state contribution in this regard will be given under Swarnim Jayanti Mukhyamantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana.
The construction of railway over bridges and under bridges in the cities and metropolises of the state is intended to facilitate the movement of citizens and save time and fuel. Chief minister has gifted the public amenity enhancement work of this flyover to Gandhidham under Swarnim Jayanti Mukhyamantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana.
Realising the resolve of fatak mukta (free of railway crossings) Gujarat, the state government has so far given in-principle approval of worth Rs 890 crore for a total of 30 works of railway over bridge -railway under bridge projects across the state.
A total provision of Rs 156 crore has been made for the year 2021-22, including Rs 78 crore for municipalities and Rs 78 crore for municipal corporations for various works of such railway over bridge-railway under bridge in the towns and metros of the state.
