Goan swimmer Sanjana Prabhugaonkar won a gold medal in 200m backstroke girls Group 1 event and also claimed a silver in 50m backstroke event on the second day of the Glenmark 37th Sub-Junior & 47th Junior National Aquatic Championships 2021 at Bengaluru, on Thursday. Sanjana clocked a timing of 2:28:71 to win the gold. Maharashtra’s Palak Dhami and Palak Joshi secured silver and
bronze as they clocked
timings of 2:29:52 and 2:29:89 respectively.
In 50m girls backstroke event, Sanjana who finished the race in 31.63 seconds came second to Nina Venkatesh of Karnataka who
clinched the gold after clocking a timing of 30.80. Maharashtra’s Bhakti Wadkar won the bronze as she clocked a timing of 31.94.
