MTN Nigeria gets USD 500,000 grant from ADB to study mobile money network for women

MTN Nigeria's fintech subsidiary, Y'ello Digital Financial Services (YDFS) and the African Development Bank's initiative, the Africa Digital Financial Inclusion Facility (ADFI) have signed an agreement for a USD 500,000 grant. The money will be used to determine the feasibility of deploying women agents in the northern part of Nigeria where, due to security issues and cultural norms, women have been disproportionately excluded from accessing finance.
