MPCC slams BJP president for passing derogatory remarks on its president

Imphal, October 20 2021: The General Secretary of Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC): Tilotama slammed the BJP President A Sharda Devi for the derogatory remarks labelled against the president of MPCC at a press conference held today at Congress Bhawan.

Speaking to media persons, she slammed the BJP president for wrongly interpreting the words and misleading the people.

Stating that the BJP President has taken the first step to mislead the people of the State with the wrong allegations, she said that it is the habit of BJP to present the facts wrongly and mislead the people.

She clarified that the MPCC President N Loken while speaking during a programme held at Konthoujam never claimed that the youths have actually gone insane, he did expressed the fact that they are tensed and perplexed due to the regressive policies implemented by BJP especially during the difficult phase of Covid lockdown.

She also alleged that since the BJP came to power they have not launched proper schemes or policies particularly for youth, Women and children.

Talking about the Skill Development programmes, She said it is well planned scheme which is beneficial for the youths however, the results are not satisfactory as it lacks proper implementation.

She went on to say that there is lack of beneficial schemes for youth and the problem of unemployment and the COVID-19 pandemic has made the youth more stressful and restless.

Tilotama also stated that BJP is expert in taking credits of the schemes or programmes initiated by the Congress.
