Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Thursday at 10:09AM

Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(up 5.04%), Sikko Industries(up 4.84%), Bohra Industries(up 4.40%), G S F C(up 3.99%), Madhya Bharat Agro Products(up 2.04%), KRISHANA(up 1.53%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 1.36%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (up 1.24%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(up 1.04%) and Madras Fertlizers(up 0.84%) were among the top gainers.

Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(down 2.51%), Aries Agro(down 1.45%), Agro Phos(down 0.89%), ZUARIAGRO(down 0.38%), KRISHANA(down 0.29%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(down 0.12%) and Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(down 0.08%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 29.2 points down at 18237.4, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 143.94 points at 61116.02 at around 10:09AM.

Indian Oil Corporation(up 3.41%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(up 2.3%), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(up 1.94%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 1.93%), HDFC(up 1.06%), Cipla(up 0.99%), Eicher Motors(up 0.89%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 0.84%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 0.65%) and Tata Motors(up 0.64%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, HCL Technologies(down 2.19%), Tech Mahindra(down 2.12%), Tata Consultancy(down 1.25%), Hero MotoCorp(down 1.12%), Reliance Industries(down 1.08%), IndusInd Bank(down 0.83%), ITC(down 0.75%), Infosys(down 0.75%), Asian Paints(down 0.69%) and Hindalco Industries(down 0.67%) were trading in the red.
