Emirates, the Premier Partner and Official Airline of Expo 2020 Dubai, welcomed UAE Team Emirates to its Pavilion.
The group of 25 riders, including two-time Tour de France winner and currently number one in men’s UCI World Ranking Tadej Pogačar, toured the Emirates Pavilion and interacted with the digital aviation experiences. Riders experimented with robotic arms at Emirates’ future lab, created their own personalised aircraft, and immersed themselves in the cabins of the future.

As a professional WorldTour cycling team we all spend a lot of time travelling, so it was absolutely fascinating for us to get a glimpse into the future of aviation. The experience was not only informative, but interactive and inspiring and all of our riders left feeling excited about the next 50 years of flying.”
Located in the Opportunity District, the Emirates Pavilion provides Expo 2020 Dubai visitors a technically advanced, must-see opportunity to experience the future of aviation through its interactive, multi-sensory installations.

Later in the day, the UAE Team Emirates riders joined the growing cycling community in Dubai for a ride-along, starting at Nad Al Sheba Cycle Park. Excited fans and Emirates’ cabin crew joined the team, interacting with cyclists of all ages at the start and finish lines. UAE Team Emirates concluded the action-packed day with photo and autograph opportunities for fans and supporters.
Emirates has been a proud sponsor of UAE Team Emirates since 2017, which is the airline’s first cycling sponsorship. The team has grown and seen tremendous success since its inception, and today includes 29 riders from 12 nations (Australia, Belarus, Belgium, Colombia, Croatia, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Slovenia, Switzerland, and the UAE). Emirates proudly transports the team and its specialised equipment to compete in cycling tournaments around the world. The team brings the UAE and Emirates brand to the international stage as they participate in some of the most prestigious races around the world, including the Tour de France, Giro d’Italia and Vuelta d’Espana, and helps develop competitive cycling in the UAE.
