Covid-19: M'rashtra reports 1,573 new cases, 39 deaths

Aurangabad / Mumbai, Oct 21 (UNI) Maharashtra on Thursday reported 1,573 fresh Covid-19 patients and 39 fatalities in a single day, taking the state's cumulative case tally to 65,98,218 and the toll to 1,39,925, respectively, a health bulletin of the state government said.
On the other hand, 2,968 patients were discharged during the day across the state, taking overall count of recoveries to 64,30,394.
The state's recovery rate further improved to 97.46 per cent, while the fatality rate was steady at 2.12 per cent.
There are now 24,292 active cases in the state, added the bulletin.
