No bail for Aryan Khan today, Bombay HC to take up plea on Oct 26

The Bombay High Court Thursday said the bail plea of Aryan Khan — who has been in custody now since October 3 in a drugs case filed by the Narcotics Control Bureau — will be heard next Tuesday. Aryan will continue to be in Arthur Road jail until then.

The Bombay high court will hear Aryan’s bail plea on October 26. A Mumbai special court denied Shah Rukh Khan’s son bail on Wednesday. Many members of the film fraternity took to social media to express their anguish over the court’s decision. Aryan Khan was arrested hours after Narcotics Control Bureau officers raided a Mumbai cruise ship party on October 2. Seven others, including his friend Arbaaz Merchant, were arrested on October 3. Aryan has been in Mumbai’s Arthur Road jail since October 8 and was briefly in the custody of the NCB before that.

The mood at Mannat has been gloomy ever since Aryan has been detained by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). News18 has exclusively learnt that the shooting of Pathan, starring Shah Rukh and Deepika Padukone, in three international locations has been put off to another time due to Shah Rukh being occupied with his son’s detainment.

In custody, Aryan also reportedly underwent a ‘counselling session’ in the jail with the NCB teams recently. The unverifiable reports, attributed to unidentified NCB sources, claimed that Aryan was purportedly ‘full of guilt and remorse’ over his recent actions leading to his arrest and custody for the past 18 days. Aryan has been allotted the Qaidi (prisoner) number 956.

A money order amounting to Rs 4,500 dated Oct 11, was received by Arthur Road Jail authorities from Aryan’s family. This money order was for his canteen expenses. The agency has arrested more than 20 persons in connection with the case.
