Harry Byrne misses out on game-time opportunity as he is not in the Leinster team for Glasgow
Harry Byrne won't get a chance to add to the 22 minutes he's played this season ahead of the November internationals.
The 21-year-old out-half was named in Andy Farrell's 38-man squad for the games against Japan, New Zealand and Argentina next month, despite being limited to a quarter against Zebre due to foot and hip problems.
He is not in the 23-man squad for tomorrow night's United Rugby Championship visit to Glasgow, with his brother Ross starting at out-half in Johnny Sexton's absence.
Leo Cullen has gone with a six-two split of forwards and backs on the bench, which means new Ireland squad member Ciarán Frawley starts at inside-centre but will cover the out-half slot.
Frawley's role is one of a number of interesting ones from an Ireland perspective, with Cian Healy back in the No 1 shirt after coming off the bench at loosehead last week. The veteran prop spent the first three games covering tighthead.
He joins Rónan Kelleher and Tadhg Furlong in an impressive front-row, with James Ryan sitting out after his head injury last week. Ross Molony partners Ryan Baird in the second-row.
Behind them, Cullen again opts for Caelan Doris and Jack Conan at blindside and No 8, with Dan Leavy chosen ahead of Josh van der Flier, who is on the bench with Rhys Ruddock.
Behind the scrum, Luke McGrath captains the side, while Frawley partners Garry Ringrose. James Lowe joins Adam Byrne and Hugo Keenan in the back three.
Glasgow are the top-ranked non-Irish team in the competition to date after winning three of their first four games and beat Leinster on their last visit to Scotland in the Rainbow Cup.
They welcome Lions Ali Price and Zander Fagerson into their starting XV and are set to provide Leinster with their toughest test to date this season.
