The Covington, Louisiana-based company said it had net income of $4.54 per share. Earnings, adjusted for asset impairment gains, were $4.51 per share.
The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $3.87 per share.
The distributor of supplies for swimming pools posted revenue of $1.41 billion in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $1.37 billion.
Pool Corp. expects full-year earnings to be $14.85 to $15.35 per share.
