Imphal, October 19 2021: Salai Cultural Thang-Ta Academy, Waiton planted tree saplings and organised a cleanliness drive today to mark the fourth day in the month-long observance of Thang-Ta Day under the theme of 'Thang-ta For Social Change'.

As per a press release from Thang-Ta Day Observation Committee today, the cleanliness drive was conducted under the committee's supervision and witnessed the attendance of P Surbala Devi, pradhan Waiton GP; E Premjoy, up-pradhan Waiton GP, K Bijoy ward member; K Tababi ward member; M Opendro president YDC; M Surjaboro head Thang-Ta instructor, Salai Cultural Thang-Ta Academy, members of KIMACS, Thang-Ta Day Observation Committee among others.

P Surbala Devi addressed the gathering and encouraged the youths to take up Thang-Ta, enumerating its multiple benefits and added that Waiton GP would always offer their support for this indigenous form of martial arts.
