Fortnitemares 2021: How to Destroy the Corruption Cluster and Fragments in 'Fortnite'
The Fortnitemares Halloween event is an annual tradition in which the world's most popular battle royale, Fortnite, gets a spooky makeover.
The 2021 iteration is one of the biggest updates yet, introducing towering monsters that roam the island, a bunch of new cosmetics for the item shop, and the ability to fly around a witch's broomstick.
There is also an assortment of Halloween themed questlines (or "character punchcards" as they are now known) for you to work through, each of which provides its own unique rewards. To unlock the "Cube Cruiser" glider, you will need to finish all five missions that are associated with Dark Jonesy.

For the final stage of his punchcard, he will ask you to "destroy the Corruption Cluster and all Corruption Fragments." Here is how to do just that.
How To Destroy the Corruption Cluster in 'Fortnite' Season 8
Corruption clusters are isolated pockets of crystals that spring out from the ground in pre-determined spots on the map.
They can be found in the immediate vicinity of The Conversion landmark, where they will spawn directly to the south, across the river to the north, or slightly further away to the east. Each of these locations have been marked on the map below and you can pick any of them to complete the Dark Jonesy quest.
Once you arrive at your chosen destination, corruption fragments will begin sprouting from beneath the ground. Your job is to keep hitting them with your harvesting tool until there are no more left, in what basically amounts to a game of whack-a-mole.
After a while, you may start to wonder if you are doing something wrong (as it seems to just keep going), but rest assured that you will eventually deplete them.
Once you have pruned all of the corruption fragments, a larger crystal will then emerge from the ground for you to smash. If you destroy this one then you will finally be able to return to Dark Jonesy over at Steamy Stacks, in order to collect your reward.
Speaking of which, in addition to a generous helping of XP, the character will gift you a new hang glider, known as the "Cube Cruiser."
