Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 41.65 crore), Tata Power(numbers of share traded: 21.93 crore), PNB(numbers of share traded: 11.54 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 10.05 crore), BHEL(numbers of share traded: 9.07 crore), Bank of Baroda(numbers of share traded: 7.68 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 7.32 crore), Trident Ltd(numbers of share traded: 6.28 crore), Union Bank India(numbers of share traded: 5.71 crore) and Tata Motors(numbers of share traded: 5.54 crore) emerged top gainers in Wednesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 152.15 points down at 18266.6, while BSE Sensex ended down 456.09 points at 61259.96.

On the other hand, Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 3.90 per cent), Titan Company Ltd.(down 2.96 per cent), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 2.68 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 2.64 per cent) and Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(down 2.48 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
