As COVID-19 cases dip in the country, the gems and jewellery industry in Surat, Gujarat is gradually getting back on track. “We're receiving high demand from the US and Hong Kong. During April-August in 2019-20, export was USD 14.76 billion dollars. It has risen to USD 15.85 billion dollars this year for the same period,” said Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) Regional Chairman of Gujarat Dinesh Navadiya on October 20.
