Gwyneth Paltrow has talked about trying to work on her body images issues, which began to develop after having her first child with ex-husband Chris Martin in 2004.
While the star has rang in her last two birthdays by posting photos of herself in the buff, she admits to struggling with changes in her appearance since giving birth to 17-year-old daughter Apple and son Moses, 15.
'Unfortunately, we're always looking at ourselves with a critical eye,' the Shakespeare in Love actress, 49, admitted to People. 'I would love to get to a place where I don't do that anymore.'

She mused: 'I want to show up for myself in a more loving way, because it's all going south from here! There's nothing we can do about it.'
Paltrow then reflected transitioning out of her 'sexy, young girl phase' in her 20s to becoming a mom at 32, which was hard to wrap her head around at times.
'You're like, "Well, how do I reconcile who I am now with that?" For me, it was really about giving myself time to be a mother, and letting my body dictate where it was going,' she reflected.

'We have all these expectations,' the Goop founder pointed out. 'Some women feel when they have kids that they don't feel sexual because their body isn't back yet. But it's like, "Who said our bodies have to look a certain way?"
'It's hard as you age and change. But it's about bringing a wider spectrum of acceptance.'
As she gets older, Paltrow says she has learned to worry less about what to do with wrinkles and more about asking herself: 'Do I feel vibrant?'
Her upcoming Netflix series, Sex, Love & Goop, which explores everything from sexual intimacy to trauma, has also helped her 'accept' her body.

The mom-of-two, who married Glee co-creator Brad Falchuk in 2018, says she 'would never want to go back' to her 20s or 30s because she is 'so grateful for the wisdom that comes with age.'
'I know myself, I like myself,' Paltrow concluded, after saying she was focusing on the 'fundamentals of wellness, like meditation, hydration, nutrient-dense foods' now.
During the interview, she said she is no longer drinking 'tons of alcohol,' which she says she 'way too much of during the pandemic.'

In May, she revealed she overindulged in liquor during the COVID-19 pandemic as she quarantined with her family, according to The Mirror.
'I was drinking seven nights a week and making pasta and eating bread. I went totally off the rails. I mean, who drinks multiple drinks seven nights a week? Like that's not healthy,' she told the outlet.
She added: 'I love whiskey and I make this fantastic drink called the Buster Paltrow, which I named after my grandfather who loved whiskey sours.'
Gwyneth specified she was 'not, like, black-out' drunk, but revealed she still craves a cigarette while drinking.
