ReutersNEW DELHI: Quite a few stocks rose in excess of 10% on BSE as domestic equity indices, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green on Wednesday amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Stocks that rallied over 10% included, Transport Corp(12.84%) and Panchmahal Steel(10.26%).
The 30-share Sensex traded 94.28 points up at 61810.33, while the 50-share Nifty index rose 17.75 points to 18436.5.
In the Nifty 50 index, 26 stocks traded in the green, while 24 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as Arihant Found, Transport Corp, Vaksons Automobiles, Paras Defence and Space Technologies Ltd. and Oriental Hotels hit their fresh 52-week high, while Texel Ind(PP), Transglobe Foods, Nutech Global, SREI Infra Fin and Paos Industries touched their new 52-week low in trade.
