ReutersNEW DELHI: Several stocks gained in excess of 15% in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Arihant Found(up 18.05%) and The Mandhana Retail(up 16.75%) were among the stocks that surged over 15%.
The 30-share index, BSE was trading 62.22 points up at 61778.27, while the 50-share index, NSE was 1.4 points up at 18420.15.
In the Nifty50 index, 21 stocks traded in the green, while 29 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as Arihant Found, Transport Corp, Vaksons Automobiles, Paras Defence and Space Technologies Ltd. and ISF Ltd hit their fresh 52-week high, while Texel Ind(PP), Transglobe Foods, Nutech Global, SREI Infra Fin and Paos Industries touched their new 52-week low during the session.
