T20 World Cup LIVE: India clinched a comfortable win over England in their first warm-up game, chasing 189 with an over to spare. KL Rahul and Ishan Kishan scored 50s, while Rishabh Pant chipped in with a quick-fire 29 to see the team over the line. Kishan’s pyrotechnics meant that he remains in contention for the No.4 spot in the Indian playing XI, with Suryakumar Yadav again failing to make the most of his chance. Shardul Thakur did not bowl against England, but expect him to play against Australia, especially after Bhuvneshwar Kumar struggled considerably on the night. Varun Chakravarthy could also bowl after Rahul Chahar had a rough spell.

Australia meanwhile had Josh Inglis to thank who smashed two boundaries of two deliveries to seal a nail-biting win over New Zealand. Aaron Finch, Mitchell Marsh, Steve Smith and Ashton Agar all chipped in with valuable knocks throughout the innings, but Inglis applied the finishing touches to seal the tie. The Aussies will be hoping that David Warner puts his struggles behind him, after getting out for a golden duck, while Kane Richardson’s three-wicket haul adds to Finch’s selection headache.

The conditions at the ICCA Dubai are conducive for batting with India having played against England on the same ground. Scores in excess of 180 have become the norm, but this being a day game, one can expect the teams to slow down a bit. As for the weather, the conditions are expected to be sunny, with temperatures ranging between 27 to 35 degree Celsius.
