BENGALURU: A Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable saved the life of a woman, aged about 32 years, who came under a train while crossing the railway track near Yelahanka in Bengaluru on Monday afternoon. Ashish Kumar was patrolling the tracks between Yelahanka and Rajanukunte when he noticed the woman stuck under the loco of Tuticorin - Okha Vivek Express. She had apparently fallen on the tracks while crossing it. Alerted by Kumar, the train stopped immediately but could not avoid hitting her. Kumar, along with other railway police personnel and residents, pulled the woman out. She had sustained minor injuries. “Kumar alerted officials without any delay. He could not pull her out on his own since she was stuck below the loco,” said an official.
