Detective constable for Greater Manchester Police, 40, is charged with string of child sex offences

A police officer in Manchester was charged Tuesday with a string of child sex offences.
Detective Constable Lee Cunliffe, 40, is accused of two counts of arranging/facilitating the commission of a child sex offence and three counts of making an indecent photograph/pseudo-photograph of a child.
He is also charged with one count each of possession and distribution of an indecent photograph/pseudo-photograph of a child.
The officer was arrested on December 15 last year and has been suspended ever since, a Greater Manchester Police (GMP) spokesman said.

He was bailed Tuesday to appear before Manchester Magistrates Court on October 26 at 10.30am.
Mr Cunliffe is also facing two charges of misconduct in a public office and two counts of perverting the course of public justice.
The officer worked in the GMP's Salford District.
