New Delhi, October 18

A lawyer was shot dead in the Shahjahanpur district court complex, 100 km from Lakhimpur Kheri, on Monday. The police arrested a suspect after advocate Bhupendra Singh of Jalalabad was killed when he had gone to the third floor office at the district courts to meet a clerk. The lawyers announced a strike soon afterwards seeking the arrest of the accused. — TNS
