With India slipping to the 101st position in the Global Hunger Index (GHI) 2021 out of 116 countries; Hunger and undernourishment are rising at an alarming rate. With an objective to make a small impact Nilon’s on the occasion of this World Food Day has come up with a unique campaign ‘#FromHungerToHappiness’.

Under this initiative, Nilon’s has joined hands with NGO ‘No Hungry Child’ and pledged to help these children sleep with full tummies.

Each year, malnutrition-related diseases are going up and the pandemic situation has only worsened the situation. The association with No hungry child is to create a separate platform for people to contribute and take a pledge to provide nutritional food to hungry children across India. Every drop counts and every effort is important to support the community we live in.

Image-Dipak-Sanghavi-Managing-Director-and-CEO-Nilons-mediabrief.jpgSpeaking about the initiative, Dipak Sanghavi, Managing Director and CEO, Nilon’s, said “Hunger and Child undernourishment in India is a severe complex problem. There is an urgent need for corporates, private players, NGOs, the community at larger and other relevant stakeholders to come together and build engagement platforms.

“We are glad to associate with ‘No Hungry Child’ organization which has been relentlessly working for underprivileged background children providing them the Nutritious meal & Education support. This initiative is one small step towards addressing a larger issue of hunger. Our effort will be to scale up this initiative and reach out to more and more audiences seeking funds and donations,” Sanghavi said.
