Mumbai reports 313 new Covid-19 cases, 4 deaths

MUMBAI: Mumbai on Tuesday reported 313 new cases of coronavirus.
This is the fourth day in a row that the city saw less than 400 cases.
The overall case tally has now climbed to 7,51,494.
Also, the death toll has now mounted to 16,188 with four persons succumbing to the virus in the day.
Three of the deceased were over 60 years of age and one in the 40 to 60 age group. Three of them also had comorbidities.
A total of 511 patients were discharged from hospitals during the day, which raised the number of recoveries in the city to 7,28,138, according to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
Mumbai now has a recovery rate of 97 per cent.
The city is now left with 4,650 active cases.
The overall growth rate of Covid-19 cases from October 12 to October 18 is 0.05 per cent, while the doubling rate is 1,280 days.
The number of sealed buildings in the BMC limits is now pitched at 46, whereas there are no active containment zones (slums and chawls) in the city.
