Mel C after a crisis of confidence was eliminated from Dancing With The Stars on Monday during Grease Night after the judges voted to keep Olivia Jade.

The 47-year-old English singer and Olivia, 22, finished in the bottom two during the season 30 episode that paid tribute to Grease with each couple dancing a song to the popular musical.

Show host Tyra Banks, 47, told viewers that it would be up to the judges to save either Mel C or Olivia with head judge Len Goodman breaking any tie.

Six-time DWTS champion turned judge Derek Hough, 36, voted to save Olivia and her pro partner Valentin Chmerkovskiy, 35.

Carrie Ann Inaba, 53, was torn over her vote and called it 'extremely hard' to decide before voting for Spice Girls member Mel C and her pro partner Gleb Savchenko, 38.

Bruno Tonioli, 65, praised social media influencer Olivia for being the 'surprise of the season' before also voting for Mel C, also known as Sporty Spice, and Gleb.

Head judge Len, 77, before casting his crucial vote gave Mel C and Olivia a 'little bit of advice' that he was given at his first dancing competition.

'Don't let success go to your head. And don't let disappointment go to your heart. It was a very close thing. Neither of you deserve to be in this ...,' Len said as Tyra pressed him for an answer.

'Okay. I'm going to say the couple I'd like to save is Olivia and Val,' Len said as he automatically broke the tie per show rules.

'Whoa,' Tyra said as Mel C was shockingly eliminated.

Mel C showed the agony of defeat and hung her head as she was eliminated and Gleb wrapped his arm around her shoulder to console her.

Olivia meanwhile crumbled to ballroom floor as she was overcome with the thrill of victory and Val dropped to his knees.

Tyra told viewers that Mel C and Gleb would be on Good Morning America on Tuesday to talk about their experience and elimination.

Mel C cried during rehearsal as she admitted to Gleb that she was 'scared' while they practiced their Quickstep to 'You're The One That I Want'.

'Melanie has been struggling throughout this whole process to find her confidence as a dancer. And I really hope this week will be a breakthrough moment for her,' Gleb said during rehearsal.

Mel C admitted that she identified with Sandy's character who wasn't sure of herself and told Gleb that she gets upset because she feels like she's disappointing him.

'I'm sorry,' she told Gleb crying.

Gleb gave her a pep talk and Mel C performed confidently enough to earn a score of 36 out of 40 from the judges.

'Melanie, first of all, confidence isn't something you have. It's something you do. And you did that. You were so great,' Derek told her.

Olivia and Val performed first and delivered a spirited Foxtrot to Summer Nights that earned them a score of 36 out of 40 points from the judges.

Olivia Newton-John, 73, appeared remotely and told the audience how the song shows the relationship between her character Sandy Olsson and Danny Zuko from their different points of view and told Olivia that she loved her name.

Iman Shumpert and pro dancer Daniella Karagach also danced a Viennese waltz to Hopelessly Devoted To You and they got the lowest score of the episode with just 28 points.

Mike 'The Miz' Mizanin and pro dancer Witney Carson did a fun Jive dance to Greased Lightnin' and received a score of 32 points from the judges.

Amanda Kloots and her pro partner Alan Bersten danced to Beauty School Dropout with Frankie Avalon, 81, performing the song live.

They were nearly perfect and received a score of 39 out of 40 points from the judges.

Country singer Jimmie Allen, 36, competed after his wife Alexis Gale gave birth Saturday to their second child, a daughter named Zara, in Nashville.

Jimmie and pro partner Emma Slater danced a Foxtrot to Sandy and earned a score of 34 out of 40 points.

Charleston dance: Olympics gymnast Sunni Lee and pro partner Sasha Farber danced the Charleston to Born To Hand Jive and they got all 9's from the judges for a score of 36 out of 40

Reality star Kenya Moore, 50, took on the role of Rizzo for her Rumba to There Are Worse Things I Could Do with pro partner Brandon Armstrong.

They earned their highest score yet of 36 out of 40 points.

Didi, 70, who played Frenchy in Grease, talked to JoJo Siwa, 18, and her same-sex partner Jenna Johnson, 27, about the friendship between Sandy and Frenchy and said she remains friends with Olivia Newton-John.

Tyra then revealed which couples were safe and the bottom two of Olivia and Mel C.

Dancing With The Stars will return next week on ABC.

Pro dancer Derek Hough during season six in 2008 pulled his neck during rehearsal and missed a week of dancing.

Derek during season seven also blacked out during rehearsal after tripping and landing on the back of his head.

Season seven also saw the departure of Misty May-Treanor after she was injured during practice and ruptured her Achilles tendon.

Ray Lewis was forced to withdraw from season 28 after suffering three torn tendons in his foot during practice ahead of week three Movie Night. He re-aggravated an injury from 2010 while playing football for the Baltimore Ravens.

The Bachelorette star Kaitlyn Bristowe suffered an 'ankle injury' during week two of season 29, but still performed with pro partner Artem Chigvintsev. She later revealed during Disney Night that she was suffering from tendonitis and shin splints.

Pro dancer Cheryl Burke announced on September 26, 2021, that she had tested positive for COVID-19 before the second episode of the season. Her celebrity partner Cody Rigsby tested positive for the coronavirus a few days later and they continued competing together, but dancing in separate rooms.
