Planning to Buy A Tata Harrier? Pros And Cons

Tata Motors introduced the Harrier SUV in 2019 and since then the car has been a success for the company. In fact the company launched the BS6 version of the Harrier at the 2020 Auto Expo at ₹ 13.69 lakh making it very competitive in terms of pricing in the compact SUV segment. The Harrier, since then has been a strong seller for the company and yes a lot of you are considering this car for sure when making a decision to buy an SUV. So to simplify your decision making process, we tell you the pros and cons of the Tata Harrier

PROS

1. The Harrier was the first vehicle to be built on the company's new OMEGArc platform, and also employ the new Impact 2.0 design philosophy. It is rugged and absolutely handsome to look and that's a big plus
2. The 5-seater SUV gets a pretty decent list of features and is powered by a Fiat-sourced 2.0-litre diesel engine, and currently comes with a 6-speed manual gearbox and there's also an automatic on offer.
   

   The Harrier is only available with the diesel engine 

3. The ride quality of the Harrier is exceptional and it takes all the potholes in its stride and its just smooth sailing for all the occupants
4. The new Calypso Red colour introduced with the automatic variant and also the BS6 version of the car make it look absolutely stunning
5. The cabin of the Harrier is extremely spacious and there's a good amount of boot space as well on offer

CONS

1. The gearbox of the Harrier is a little clunky, especially the manual as going from 2nd to 3rd and then back again is a bit of a worry. The transition is not as smooth
2. The clutch travel is long too though its light and it does take a toll on your left foot if you're travelling long distances.

   The cabin is very spacious and there's good amount of boot space too 
3. The Harrier is not available in a petrol avatar and so the consumers do not get a lot of options. There's only the diesel with manual and automatic transmission on offer
4. The Harrier does not get the iRA connectivity suite and that according to us is a big miss.
