Television presenter and fashion stylist, Jules Sebastian, has revealed one of her favourite snacks - and it's unlikely to be a staple in most households. 

The busy mother-of-two shared her mouthwatering recipe for watermelon topped with balsamic strawberries and grilled haloumi.

The 40-year old revealed she gained inspiration for the dish from fellow foodie Lina, who runs The Lebanese Plate on Instagram.

Jules attempt at the snack quickly went viral and has been seen over 67k times, she described it as 'the perfect side' for summer.

to make the tasty summer dish Jules begins by sprinkling sugar over the top of her sliced strawberries.

She then adds a splash of balsamic vinegar and some pepper before gently stirring the ingredients together.

Next Jules fries off her halloumi cheese until it is golden brown on each side.

She then arranges her watermelon wedges on a platter to assemble the eye catching dish.

Jules lays the slices of haloumi across the watermelon first, before sprinkling generous amounts of balsamic strawberries.

She then sprinkles rosemary and pine nuts over the dish before drizzling honey on top.

And if her reaction to tasting it the first time is anything to go by, the dish is a winner.

Her fans were impressed, as were some of her high-profile friends.

How can I make watermelon, balsamic strawberries and halloumi at home? 

INGREDIENTS

 Strawberries

Watermelon

Halloumi 

 1tbsp balsamic vinear

1tbsp white sugar

Pepper to taste 

METHOD

Prepare your balsamic strawberries by tossing strawberries in 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar, 1 tbsp white sugar and freshly ground black pepper. Leave to sit for about 30min. 

Slice up your watermelon, grill your halloumi until golden and then serve layered.
