Thread: C4 Starburst review

I had the opportunity to try Cellucor’s new Starburst carbonated pre-workout; as usual, I was impressed. These single-serving cans offer an outstanding flavor experience in a convenient package.

Flavor is light and incredibly drinkable; the flavor profile is spot-on, and not weighed down by an excessive amount of artificial flavoring that so often makes the flavor overbearing.

For the flavors themselves, as with regular Starburst candies, Strawberry was my favorite of the series. It tastes just like the real thing, and has the perfect amount of sweetness.
Cherry is a close second. Is is similar in flavor to the midnight cherry, but has slightly lighter and sweeter notes that it’s predecessor. I prefer it a bit more over midnight cherry.
Orange is also similar to the Orange Slice flavor, but is again slightly lighter and sweeter.
Lemon seems to be a less common flavor for carbonated drinks, but this version of lemon is spot on and quite refreshing.

At 200mg of caffeine, these provide a nice kick of energy that is not excessive or overwhelming. For what it’s worth, the cans look awesome too. C4 Energy Starburst is certainly one of the best collaboration preworkouts I have had. I can’t wait to see what’s next!
