Telangana reports 208 new Covid-19 cases, 2 deaths

HYDERABAD: Telangana recorded 208 new Covid-19 cases and two deaths on Monday. The number of active cases in the state stood at 3,940. The total count of cases since the beginning of the pandemic last year, stand at 6,69,163 and the death toll stands at 3,940.
A total of 201 patients were declared recovered on Monday, taking the total count of recovered patients to 6,61,294. The case fatality rate (CFR) stands at 0.58 per cent while the recovery rate stood at 98.82 per cent now. So far 79.82 per cent of overall cases in the state have been asymptomatic while 20.1 per cent have been symptomatic.
On Monday, 45,418 samples were tested for the novel coronavirus. Telangana has now completed testing 2.70 crore samples and has reached 7.27 lakh sample testing per million population.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) recorded 62 cases on Monday, while neighbouring Medchal Malkajgiri recorded 10 cases, Ranga Reddy recorded 13 and Sanga Reddy recorded 3 cases. Outside of Hyderabad city and its outskirts, Karimnagar with 14 new cases recorded the highest number of cases.
