RB Koby Trahan, PN-G

After PN-G fell behind 17-0 early Friday night against Kingwood Park, it was the Koby Trahan show for the rest of the game. The senior running back ran for 385 yards and three touchdowns, leading a potent PN-G offense to a 56-40 win. Trahan has been excellent for PN-G all season long, and this week was no exception.

RB Layne Wilhelm, Vidor

Wilhelm was the finisher for Vidor on their long touchdown drives during a win over LC-M. He carried the ball 17 times for 75 yards, including three touchdowns. Two of those scores came in the fourth quarter as Wilhelm helped the Pirates stay undefeated on the season with the 29-12 victory.

Another week, another game ball for Gales. This time, it came during a big win over Orangefield in which he totaled more yardage than the entire Bobcats team. Gales ran for 175 yards and three touchdowns on 15 carries, leading the Mustangs to their sixth straight win since dropping the season opener.

QB Kheagian Heckaman, Hamshire-Fannett

Heckaman accounted for all of Hamshire-Fannett’s offensive touchdowns during a 34-7 win over Hardin-Jefferson. He completed all six of his passes for 107 yards and a touchdown, but his biggest contributions came on the ground. He had 12 rushing attempts for 126 yards and three scores as the Longhorns rolled over the Hawks.

DB Nolan White, Nederland

The Bulldogs’ defense racked up five takeaways on Friday night against Dayton, and White was responsible for two of them. Nederland’s sophomore cornerback set the tone by intercepting the Broncos’ first pass of the game, then picked off another pass later to help the Bulldogs pulled away for a 41-14 victory.
