Man shot on Ninth Avenue in Port Arthur

A man has been hospitalized following a Friday afternoon shooting in Port Arthur.

Officers received a report of the shooting shortly after 3:10 p.m. to the 2349 Ninth Avenue, a news release from the Port Arthur Police Department said. Officers found the man with a gunshot wound on the scene. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The incident remains under investigation.
