Oi recovers lost fibre market share after investing over BRL 10 bln

Brazilian operator Oi invested BRL 10.4 billion in its fibre network from 2019 to June 2021 and increased its number of homes passed from 1.8 million in 2018 to 18.8 million in June 2021, according to Teleco. As a result, Oi has recovered lost market share in 135 cities. Its share dropped from 27 percent in January 2019 to 23.8 percent in May 2020, before growing again to 26.4 percent in July 2021.
