She's usually an open book when it comes to discussing her love life.
So fans were surprised when Angie Kent confessed she'd recently split from a secret boyfriend during an episode of her Nova podcast Two Girls, One Pod.
While the former Bachelorette, 31, chose not to reveal his identity, sources tell Daily Mail Australia her mystery ex-boyfriend is none other than Australian Ninja Warrior star Matt Filippi, 34.

The pair, who both live on Queensland's Sunshine Coast, began dating earlier this year and decided to keep things a secret, but quickly realised their relationship wouldn't work long-term.

'I wanted a baby and he didn't', Angie told her podcast co-host Yvie Jones of the break-up.

Matt, a personal trainer and former Big Brother contestant, separated from his wife last year and is father to a young daughter named Zarlie.
'He was pretty vocal he didn't want any more children when the topic came up,' a friend of Angie's told Daily Mail Australia.
'It seemed too early to be talking about marriage and children, and it was important for Matt that he didn't lead Angie on knowing that he didn't want more kids in the long run.'

Following the split, Angie and Matt have both been able to keep busy by throwing themselves into more reality shows.
Angie is currently filming Dancing with the Stars: All Stars while Matt is training for the next season of Australian Ninja Warrior.
'They undoubtedly looked great on paper but unfortunately it didn't work out,' the friend said.
'The two are very level headed and have a great reputation in the industry - hopefully they will get their happily ever after'.

Angie's last known relationship was with Carlin Sterritt, whom she met on The Bachelorette in 2019.
In February 2020, Angie moved from Queensland to Sydney to live with Carlin in his Rose Bay apartment, before splitting with him in June that year.
Angie has since moved back to her native Queensland.
