To disclose the details of the shoot, the producers took to twitter and published images of the crew from the location. Nivin Pauly appears in the photos with long hair and a fresh style. “Our #VHouseProductions in #ProductionNo7 Officially started in Dhanushkodi with all ur good wishes...” the creators said besides the pictures.

According to rumors, the film would be shot in and around Rameshwaram and will be about a fisherman's life. The soundtrack will be composed by Yuvan shankar Raja. producer Suresh Kamatchi's v House Productions is financing the film, which is also financing Simbu's forthcoming feature Maanaadu. The title of the film, as well as all of the cast and crew members involved, have yet to be revealed. Nivin's return to the tamil film business after a seven-year absence will be marked by this yet-to-be-titled film. Richie, his most recent tamil film, was released in 2017.
