Mobvoi has officially unveiled the TicWatch Pro X smartwatch in China. It is the newest offering from the company but is essentially the same as the TicWatch Pro 3 GPS from the last year. It has similar internals as the older model for the most part and runs on Google's Wear OS software.
The TicWatch Pro X features 1.39-inch dual-display design which is the same as the previous model. It means there are two display panels i.e. AMOLED and FSTN LCD which are layered on top of one another. This approach is said to result in significantly improved battery life which is a luxury for smartwatch users. Overall, the display has 454 x 454 pixels resolution and 326PPI pixel density.
Under the hood, it has the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 chipset meant specifically for smartwatches. The hardware configuration is 1GB of RAM with 8GB of onboard storage space. There are all the commonly expected sensors like heart-rate monitoring, SpO2 sensor, and exercise tracking. It further has NFC, IP68 rating, and cellular connectivity via eSIM. There are different modes that can help you get as much as 45 days of battery life.
As for the pricing, the TicWatch Pro X will cost you CNY 2,399 i.e. about $372. It is already available for pre-orders in China with sales going live on October 11th. There are currently no words on the global availability of the smartwatch.
