Flood Bengal has been created due to DVC, Mamata writes a complaint letter to PM

Kolkata, Oct 06 (UNI) West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has dashed off a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that the Centre should make proper policies for DVC.
She said, ''Otherwise, the state will not be free from floods.''
She alleged that on September 30, water was released from Maithon-Panchet of DVC in an unplanned way.
''The Alipore Meteorological Department forecast the disaster on September 24. The DVC did not release the water then. Subsequently they released one million cusec of water during the heavy rains. Due to this, eight districts of Bengal are suffering,''Ms Banerjee added.
She mentioned in detail in the letter when and how the DVC released water.
At the same time, the Chief Minister conveyed her displeasure over the non-reply to the letter sent on August 4.
She further added, ''DVC has created flood situation in the state with their unplanned release of water. Let the concerned department take instantaneous action."
Last August, after inspecting the situation, she expressed her dissatisfaction to Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the flood situation in the state.
Even then, she raised multiple questions about the role of DVC and cited the flood situation in the state as 'man-made'.
