LUCKNOW: Seven more
dengue cases were recorded in the state capital on Tuesday, taking the caseload since January to 443, of which 83.5%
(370) patients have been reported in the past 35 days.
Fresh cases include three women and four men and were reported from Chandarnagar, Aliganj, Indiranagar, Turiyaganj and
Kanpur Road. Three patients who are serious have been hospitalised, while others are recovering at home.
Health department officials claimed that source reduction and anti-larvae activities have been performed at their houses.
Meanwhile, during ongoing survey anti-larvae drive, health department teams found Aedes aegypti (dengue vector) larvae at 17 houses after scanning 1,870 sites in Shankarpurwa, Faizullaganj, Bhawaniganj,
Rajajipuram,
Triveninagar and
Gomtinagar areas.
In charge vector-borne diseases, Dr
KP Tripathi said, “We have directed
ASHA workers and other community healthcare workers to call the family members of dengue patients in the state capital twice to take track their health.”
