LUCKNOW: The star studded
Ramlila in Ayodhya started amid the chanting of hymns on Tuesday. It was inaugurated by state tourism minister
Neelkanth Tiwari.
Actor
Raza Murad was also present at the ceremony. Bollywood actors will perform in the Ramlila on the banks of Saryu river in Ayodhya, but no audience will be allowed in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic.
Speaking at the inauguration, Raza Murad said, “Mumbai se paisa kamane ke liye nahi aaye hain, paisa kamane ka aur bhi bhi zariya hai, hum sirf
shraddha ke liye aaye hain, Ramlila ka
hissa banne ke liye (We have not come from Mumbai to earn money, there are many other means to earn money, we have come only for reverence, we have come here to be a part of Ramlila).”
Ramlila will have no audience like last year but it will be telecast live on Doordarshan and social media platforms.
Bolywood actress Bhagyashree will enact the role of
Sita in the multi-starrer epic drama. The cast also includes actors Arbaaz Khan, Avatar Gill, and
Vindu Dara Singh.
