Cincinnati Bengals fans concerned about running back Joe Mixon's status after an earlier report via Twitter from ESPN's Adam Schefter that Mixon will be "week to week" with a low-grade ankle sprain welcomed news from The Enquirer's Kelsey Conway via Twitter on Monday evening that Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said he never said Mixon was "week to week," adding that Mixon is "day to day" and not to read into whether Mixon practices Wednesday.

Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon (28) waives to fans after the NFL football game on Thursday, Sept. 30, 2021, at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati. Cincinnati Bengals defeated Jacksonville Jaguars 24-21.

From Conway:

Conway tweeted after the Bengals' Thursday night win against the Jacksonville Jaguars that Taylor said Mixon had a minor ankle injury that kept him out of the game on the team's final drive.

Social media reactions:

The Green Bay Packers may be without star defensive back Jaire Alexander on Sunday against the Bengals, depending on the severity of a shoulder injury Alexander suffered during a win against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
