Fuel Prices Hiked Again; Diesel Breaches ₹ 100/Litre Mark In Bhopal

With the latest revision, petrol and diesel prices have touched new all-time highs across the country. In Bhopal, diesel has breached the Rs. 100-mark, currently retailing at Rs. 100.05 a litre while petrol costs Rs. 111.14 a litre.

After a brief pause of one day, fuel prices have been increased on Tuesday across the country. According to details listed on the oil retailer's website, petrol rates in the national capital Delhi were hiked by 25 paise to ₹ 102.64 a litre, while diesel breached the ₹ 91-mark to reach an all-time high of ₹ 91.07 a litre, after a hike of 30 paise. Petrol rates in Bhopal have jumped to ₹ 111.14 a litre, while diesel has surpassed the ₹ 100-mark as it retails at ₹ 100.05 a litre.

In Delhi, diesel has breached the ₹ 91-mark, retailing at ₹ 91.07 a litre

Here are the petrol and diesel prices across six major metros on October 5, 2021:

In Mumbai, petrol is inching towards the ₹ 109-mark, currently retailing at ₹ 108.67 a litre while diesel costs ₹ 98.80. Petrol prices in Chennai have gone up to ₹ 100.23 a litre whereas diesel costs ₹ 95.59 a litre. Customers in Kolkata will now have to pay ₹ 103.36 a litre and ₹ 94.17 a litre for petrol and diesel respectively. In Hyderabad, petrol currently retails at ₹ 106.77 per litre, while diesel is priced at ₹ 99.37 per litre. The auto fuels in Bengaluru now cost ₹ 106.21 a litre and ₹ 96.66 a litre, respectively.

Fuel rates are the most expensive in Rajasthan's Sri Ganganagar where customers have to pay ₹ 114.61 a litre for petrol and ₹ 104.96 a litre for diesel. In Anuppur district of Madhya Pradesh, petrol retails at ₹ 113.96 a litre while is priced at ₹ 102.66 a litre. Customers in Maharashtra's Parbhani district will have to shell out ₹ 111.23 a litre and ₹ 99.75 a litre for petrol and diesel, respectively.
