Team news
We are still urgently seeking to recruit two new team members, an Operations and Marketing Coordinator and a Platform Developer.
These positions were posted in the May issue of the Joomla Community Magazine (JCM), community openings article:-
https://magazine.joomla.org/all-issues/may-2021/community-openings-may-2021
So far we have not received any reactions. If you're interested or know someone suitable please contact us (or me directly).
Operations and Marketing
There are no other updates from the Operations and Marketing team (mainly due to the lack of exams).
Website and Exam platform
Shika: (new exam platform) - no change since June.
At this point in time we have not found any 'show stoppers' with Shika itself, but have some problems with the question management component. We need a Platform Developer to help us with this, as mentioned above, the position has been shared in the May issue of the JCM (see above).
Exam(s)
J!4 Administrator exam (and no update to the J!3 version)
We have upgraded the Question Management System (QMS) to J!4. We are now implemented the workflow features in J!4 tand are testing and refining the process.
We are planning a meeting with our Exam Maintainers to test and verify this process and workflow. Once finalised we can the start with updating the J!3 Administrator exam to J!4.
(In July the JCP team and the Programs Department members agreed to us focussing on updating the Administration Exam to reflect the forthcoming release of Joomla version 4.0. It was always agreed that we will not update the J!3 version of the Administrator exam.)
Upcoming Meeting(s):
JCP monthly team meeting: 13th October 2021.
Project / isssue progress meeting: 27th October 2021
